SyncTime 5.0

  • Unordered sync groups and dependencies between sync items have been replaced by a new and more intuitive type of sync groups. You can add new groups and easily add and reorder sync items.
  • The Filters tab has been streamlined: filtered expressions and filtered files are now merged in a single hierarchical structure that is easier to understand and more flexible.
  • The Schedule option has been moved from the sync settings to a dedicated Sync Schedule window which allows to manage schedules for all sync items and groups. It can be opened from the main window toolbar or the Window menu.
  • The One-time Trigger menu item has been converted to a sync schedule named “At a given date” which can also be found in the Sync Schedule window.
  • Shortcuts app support has been improved. Because of this change, any existing shortcuts don’t work anymore.
  • Added file modifiers cannot be temporarily deactivated anymore. Inactive file modifiers are removed automatically when launching this app version.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused sync items with the Automatic sync schedule to run without apparent reason.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a sync error when linking a locked file during a sync with the backup strategy “Incremental, link unchanged files”.
  • Added a built-in AppleScript to quit SyncTime when a sync or all syncs complete.
  • Past logs for sync items created before July 2022 don’t show the sync item title anymore, but their ID instead. In the Activity log window they won’t be listed when selecting the sync item title from the toolbar anymore, but when selecting their ID instead. Logs generated starting from this app version will appear correctly.
